Our Practice Nurses offer a comprehensive travel vaccination service to all our patients.
If you require vaccinations relating to foreign travel you will need to follow the instructions below. It is important to start planning your vaccinations as early as possible – at least 8-12 weeks before you travel – as often multiple appointments will be required with the practice nurse to actually receive the vaccinations.
Please note that most travel vaccines are not provided free by the NHS and so patients will be charged on a private basis for these to be given.
Step 1 : In recent years there have been significant shortages of some vaccines which has meant we have had to suspend the clinic on occasions. We therefore advise all patients to contact our reception team before completing the form below to check that our Travel Clinic is running.
Step 2 : Please complete and return the Pre-Travel Questionnaire.
Step 3 : Make a 30 minute appointment with a Practice Nurse. During this appointment the Nurse will discuss with you the contents of the form and advise which vaccinations are required for your travel. Depending on the time available and the vaccines we hold in stock, it may be possible to commence with vaccination immediately. Otherwise the Nurse will advise you on any subsequent appointments that are necessary.
