There are currently no plans to have a covid booster clinic at our Ponteland Surgery. Instead the service for most patients in West Northumberland will be provided in Hexham. Patients will be contacted by phone or text message when they become eligible in order to book an appointment.
If patients don’t want to travel to Hexham, they can contact 119 or go the the national booking system online.
Our Patient Participation Group which has been running for the past 10 years but one of the members has recently decided to step down. We are therefore looking to recruit a replacement.
The idea of patient participation groups is to give patients a say in how their GP practice run.
The only requirements to join the group are :-

Although we always try to process all repeat prescription requests within 3 working days, there may be occasions when it takes longer – particularly if there are queries that require further investigation. This can be for a variety of reasons but may result in prescriptions being delayed and may take an extra day to process. For this reason it is vital that patients order their prescription in plenty of time – ideally a week before it is due to factor in this possibility.
